Save Red Rock Canyon
Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:03PM Today we're writing to help save one of our favorite hiking spots, Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sadly, it looks like developers are trying to get approval for a housing development in Red Rock Canyon. For all the nature lovers who appreciate this land like we do, please get involved and help stop this unecessary project.

SIGN THE PETITION and make your voice heard!
Las Vegas has already been hit hard by economic troubles and there are countless homes sitting empty in the Valley. This project seeks to add new homes for 14,000 residents in the middle of Red Rock Canyon. This development will not only damage the natural canyon skyline but it will also increase traffic and light pollution to an otherwise pristine natural conservation area. Don't allow the greed of developers to destroy a cherished natural landmark.
If you are a Las Vegas local you can attend the Clark County Commission meeting on Jan. 18 and request that the county save Red Rock Canyon. Others can sign the petition above and help spread the word through online advocacy.
