The Health Benefits of Turmeric
Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:10AM In the past few months we have seriously cleaned up our diets.
We've been vegan for about 4 years now, and we began to realize how easy it is to convince yourself that if you're eating a vegan diet, you must be healthy. Oh how wrong we were!
Let's get real; we were living off of Clif bars, baked goods, caffeine and lots of carbs. Not that any of these things are bad in moderation, we were certainly eating our vegetables too, but we realized it was time to up our game. Much credit goes to Marcelle Pick and Dr. Christiane Northrup for all the good info they share on their weekly radio shows.
One of the first steps we took to improve our lifestyle was upgrading our supplement plan.
We've previously posted about our love for Dr. Fuhrman's vegan supplements, but one addition we made to our supplement plan is taking a daily dose of turmeric. We think this is an easy, but powerful addition to anyone's preventative healthcare plan. See the list below for some of the amazing benefits turmeric provides.
